Programs

The International Awareness and Involvement Committee is dedicated to developing community programs designed to provide assistance, relief, and a variety of resources to developing countries through strategic partnerships. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is committed to being involved in the international arena. Chapters support initiatives in Haiti and Africa. Delta has been instrumental in establishing schools and health care facilities. Members of the sorority also participate in the Delta Days at the United Nations where chapters members learn about issues facing the world.

TAC's International Awareness and Involvement Committee focuses on promoting a better understanding and deeper appreciation for the contributions and struggles of people and cultures different from one’s own.  

The program is three-fold:  

1.  Promote internal and multi-cultural awareness to Deltas.
2. Educate Deltas about global issues and related topics. 
3. Support international and cultural organizations with their respective events.
