Programs

 TAC is dedicated to upholding the mission of Dr. Betty Shabazz for Delta Academy and Dr. Jeannie Nobel for Delta GEMS.  

Delta Academy is designed for young ladies 11 to 14 who show interest in developing leadership skills, demonstrate great academic and personal promise, and show interest in community action and social change.

Delta GEMS is and acronym for Growing and Empowering Myself Successfully.  It's designed for young ladies ages 14-18. The curriculum for this group focuses on goal setting, emphasizes decision-making, and planning for the high school years and beyond.

Delta Academy and GEMS activities include visits to the area nursing homes and annual youth and adult health forums designed to educate and to address incidences and effects of cancer, nutrition, hypertension, and diabetes in the African America Community.
